Roermond (The Netherlands), 18 January 2007 A well-structured blueprint as a foundation for the crop Introducing the Grodan 6-phase model Increasing insight into cultivation expertise, developments in cultivation systems and enlargement of scale mean that the grower has an even greater need for a structured representation of crop information. This prompted Grodan to develop the Grodan 6-phase model, a categorisation of substrate-based cultivation into six cultivation phases, to be launched early this year. A compact description is given of the crop-related objectives per phase of crop development, whereby appropriate measures can be taken for the management of the root environment. The Grodan 6-phase model means that the actions per crop can be seen at a glance and linked to the stone wool substrate.
