The addition of mineral clay particles boosts plant growth. Vitagreen offers greater certainty under fluctuating crop conditions in particular because clay improves absorption. This in turn creates an extra buffering effect of water, nutrients and pH.

The new blocks will present no handling problems during automatic unstacking or manual processing. Robustness and flexibility have been considerably enhanced and they determine the quality of the fibre structure. The blocks are strong enough to withstand handling but are flexible enough to provide ideal growing conditions.

Ideal air/water balance

The block guarantees an optimum ratio between water and air. The first time the block is watered the clay particles quickly become saturated. The capillary action of the tiny pores subsequently works with the clay to ensure balanced distribution and renewal of water and nutrients.

Greater control range of water and nutrients
|
|
The buffering properties of clay limit undesired rapid fluctuations in the pH value. This makes it easier to control the nutrient solution and pH value. A greater control range makes it easier to manage the moisture content in the block. This applies equally to high and low moisture content.
